The Wayne Federman International Film Festival Announces 2016 Lineup

Zach Galifianakis, Patton Oswalt and Keegan-Michael Key are among 2016’s top-tier talent slated to headline the fest which will screen cinematic greats like The Bad News Bears, Urban Cowboy and St. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Previous years have featured headliners like Margaret Cho, Aziz Ansari, Chris Hardwick,
Will Forte, and Kathy Griffin and cinematic gems Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Boogie Nights and Back to the Future.
The annual event comes from the heart and mind of true career comedian, Wayne Federman. Federman’s unfading grind, which we profiled last November, has earned him three decades worth of work and respect from some of the industry’s top names. His roles include turns in Judd Apatow’s 40-Year-Old Virgin and Will Ferrell’s Step Brothers, along with appearances on Curb Your Enthusiasm and The X-Files. Federman’s talents aren’t limited to the screen though, as the comedic talent has also nabbed writing gigs on shows like Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and a publishing credit for his nonfiction book on Pete Maravich, a former NBA star.
The festival is most notable for the way its lineup is curated—by some of stand-up’s most prominent talent. Since 2012, Federman has asked the people that make us laugh what inspired their own life and work. All of the participating talent provide introductions for their selected film, in addition to performing and participating in a Q&A session following the public screening.
