The Venture Bros. Movie Finally Has a Release Date in July, New Trailer

It’s the day that Team Venture members have so long been waiting for–we finally have a release date and trailer for the upcoming The Venture Bros. feature film, which will close out the cult classic Adult Swim series after its seventh season concluded way back in 2018. This trailer for the ludicrously named Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart has been a long time in coming, as series creators Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick have been laboring on the film with the kind of precision that so often typified the long gaps between Venture Bros. seasons. But it’s all going to pay off, as the Venture Bros. movie now can boast a July 21, 2023 release date on digital streamers, as well as a Blu-ray release on July 25.

All the key players from the series return, including James Urbaniak, Michael Sinterniklaas, Chris McCulloch and Doc Hammer, in addition to the beloved Patrick Warburton, who we recently interviewed about saying goodbye to Brock Samson as a character. Also featured are performers such as Nina Arianda (Being the Ricardos) as Mantilla, Clancy Brown (John Wick: Chapter 4) as Red Death, John Hodgman (Up Here) as Snoopy, Hal Lublin (Welcome to Night Vale) as Clayton, Jane Lynch (Glee) as Bobbi St. Simone, Charles Parnell (Top Gun: Maverick) as Jefferson Twilight, Jay Pharoah (Spinning Gold) as Nuno Blood, Steven Rattazzi (New Amsterdam) as Dr. Orpheus, JK Simmons (Whiplash) as Ben and Dana Snyder (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) as The Alchemist. Your mysterious synopsis, meanwhile, is as follows:

Doc’s latest invention will either bankrupt Team Venture or launch them to new heights, as Hank searches for himself, Dean searches for Hank, The Monarch searches for answers, and a mysterious woman from their pasts threatens to bring their entire world crashing down on them.

The Venture Bros. premiered on Adult Swim way back in 2004, and was a critically acclaimed pop culture satire from its very first episodes, though the show often seemed to be grasping for a larger audience than it ever really achieved. Fans were understandably afraid that it would never receive a proper finale, which makes Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart an important piece of closure for folks like us who were following the adventures of the Venture clan for close to two decades. The Venture Bros. movie will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Vudu and more. Meanwhile, The Venture Bros.:The Complete Series is also releasing digitally and on DVD on June 20, 2023, including all 82 episodes from the 7-season run of the series.
