“We would like to thank Comedy Central, Doug Herzog, Kent Alterman and all of the fans for turning us from Boyz II Men,” Anderson, DeVine, Holm and Newacheck said in a statement to Deadline. “It was an incredible run but we’ve decided to leave on a HIGH note. Get it?”
Kent Alterman, who was a relatively new head of programming at Comedy Central when Workaholics started its run on the network, spoke highly of the show. “We got more years of stunted development than any of us could have hoped for,” Alterman said. “We salute the boys and thank them.”
Workaholics follows three unmotivated roommates who enter the real world after college. The show earned a following fairly quickly, and became a breakout hit for the network. Now, after seven seasons, it seems the quartet of men at the show’s center are finally ready to let it end. Take it sleazy, gentlemen (that’s a thing we’re saying now).
