Batman: Arkham Knight Will Feature Dual Play with Nightwing, Robin and Catwoman
The latest trailer for Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight has hit the internet and along with news on some of the notable faces we’ll being seeing in the M-rated title, we’re also getting a glimpse at what the studio is calling a new “Dual Play” feature.
In the trailer, titled “All Who Follow You,” we can see some of Gotham’s most fiendish villains in action including the notorious Two-Face and the always entertaining Scarecrow. But the biggest winners of our attention are the sidekicks fighting alongside the Dark Knight. Nightwing, Robin and Catwoman all make an appearance, using tag teams maneuvers and combo attacks to take down the scum of the neighborhood.
Publisher Warner Bros. has announced that the characters will be featured as part of a new playable mode in the upcoming title that will allow players to “seamlessly switch between The Dark Knight and his allies including Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman in freeflow combat.” The feature is strikingly similar to the character switching in Grand Theft Auto V and will mean picking up the actions of one character mid-combat while your partners continue delivering a serious beatdown on the bad guys.
Among other faces shown in the trailer is Azrael, who will presumably be one of the characters available in the new mode although he’s never shown pulling off any combos of his own. Check out the latest additions to the Arkham saga in the video above.
Batman: Arkham Knight is set to hit shelves on June 23 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
