In a press release, BOOM! promises a look into the as-of-yet-untold history of Sir Didymus and his connection to the Bog of Eternal Stench. Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Under the Spell #1 is written by S.M. Vidaurri, who readers may recognize as the writer of BOOM!’s Steven Universe: Harmony series. Sarah Webb lends her artistic talents to the book (while still continuing her webcomic, Kochab). They’re also joined by contributing creators Sina Grace, Boya Sun and Michael Dialynas.
“Labyrinth introduced fans to a world of endless imagination where anything is possible,” BOOM! Studios editor Cameron Chittock said in a statement. “There are always new corners to be explored and new revelations to be uncovered. Under the Spell shines light on fan-favorite characters and introduces all new creatures to the canon, building on the ever-expanding world Jim Henson created.”
Together, this team will craft a collection of stories that fill in parts of the Labyrinth universe. Check out the preview of issue #1 below, and look for Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Under the Spell #1 to hit shelves Nov. 28th.
