Terry Moore’s Entire Strangers in Paradise Series Comes to comiXology Unlimited

Strangers in Paradise is a comics institution. First published by Antarctic Press in 1993 before moving to creator Terry Moore’s own Abstract Studios, then a stint at Image Comics, then back to Abstract Studios, Strangers in Paradise follows Katina “Katchoo” Choovanski, Francine Peters and David Qin in what starts as something of a love triangle—and an early benchmark for queer representation in comics—and ends up covering organized crime syndicates and shadowy assassinations. Moore wrote and drew 107 black-and-white issues between 1993 and 2007, and revived the series as Strangers in Paradise XXV earlier this year for the 25th anniversary. It was also announced last year that the series is being adapted for film, further expanding Strangers in Paradise’s reach.
Starting today, longtime fans of SiP and curious newcomers alike can take the full-series plunge as comiXology, Amazon’s digital comic shopping and reading service, adds the final nine volumes of the 19-volume series to its comiXology Unlimited program, making the entire series free to read with a comiXology Unlimited, Prime Reading or Kindle Unlimited membership. To mark the occasion, check out an extended excerpt below, and be sure to dive into the full Strangers in Paradise saga via your comiXology or Kindle Unlimited account.
