Win a Copy of Under the Moon: A Catwoman Tale From DC Ink
Art by Isaac Goodhart & Jeremy LawsonWritten by YA novelist Lauren Myracle and drawn by DC Talent Workshop graduate Isaac Goodhart, Under the Moon: A Catwoman Tale focuses on the events that drive Selina Kyle into her life as Catwoman, providing new insight into how a Gotham girl can grow into the feline-inspired hero/antihero readers are familiar with. Released under DC’s new DC Ink Young Adult imprint, the book is sweet and emotional without feeling cloying or out of character for Selina. It’s easy to relate to Selina’s frustrations and struggles, each written clearly on her face and in her body language. Even her clothing communicates to the reader and draws them in, making a character that’s often aloof and untouchable much more accessible not only to the teens that the book is targeting, but to adult readers, too. It’s fun to be reminded that even very serious, reserved characters like Catwoman and Batman were once teenagers, with all the foibles and drama that entails—and now Paste readers have a chance to win a copy of the graphic novel for themselves.
To celebrate Under the Moon’s release, we’ve partnered with DC for a special giveaway. One winner will receive a paperback copy of the book, which just hit stands this past week. To enter the giveaway, follow @PasteBooks on Twitter and retweet the contest tweet by 5 p.m. EST on Thursday, May 16th. You must have a U.S. address to enter. We’ll announce the winners via Twitter the following day—good luck!
