Skybound Entertainment announced today that Robert Kirkman’s long-running Invincible comic will be adapted for the big screen by writer-director duo Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg for Universal.
Kirkman’s second-longest-running book after The Walking Dead, Invincible tells the story of Mark Grayson, normal high school student and son of the world’s most powerful superhero, whose powers Mark will one day inherit. Kirkman created the book with artist Cory Walker in 2003 before Walker’s duties were assumed by Ryan Ottley for most of its run (though Walker returned for a few recent issues). The comic is currently on its 133rd issue and will come to its end with issue 144.
