Extended Preview: Kyle Starks Serves Up Explosive Gonzo Action in Kill Them All

As the cover to Kill Them All proudly proclaims, Eisner-nominated cartoonist Kyle Starks is “the dude who brought you Sexcastle; and his new Oni Press graphic novel taps the same bulging vein of late-‘80s, early ‘90s action films. Set primarily in a towering, uhh, tower, Kill Them All follows a hard-drinking former cop and a double-crossed assassin as they fight their way up 15 flights, kapowing everyone in their path to vengeance. Starks, who also lends his gonzo humor to Oni’s Rick & Morty comics and his own Rock Candy Mountain at Image Comics, has a knack for melding over-the-top violence with gut-busting laughs, as evidenced by the extended preview below, in which Kill Them All’s betrayed murderess and disgraced cop protagonists experience an explosive breakup and enter the Punchdome, respectively. Kill Them All crashes violently into comic shops September 27th.
