Lost in Space Crash-Lands as Graphic Novel Prequel Series
Art by Zid/Legendary ComicsBefore its protagonists boarded Jupiter 2, a new graphic novel series will explore what adventures the Robinsons—the space-faring family from Netflix’s reboot of the sci-fi classic Lost in Space—landed themselves in.
Lost in Space: Countdown to Danger will be a four-part prequel series from Legendary Comics, written by Richard Dinnick (Doctor Who) and Brian Buccellato (The Flash), with artwork by Zid (Skull Island: Birth of Kong). Even though the books will follow the Robinson family before they set out on the mission that crash-landed them in the show’s first season, Don West, Doctor Smith and Robot will all still make appearances.
The first installment in the series is due out in October, but Lost in Space fans attending this year’s Comic-Con won’t have to wait that long: Legendary Comics is offering a sneak peek of the first graphic novel at the show, per THR.
Netflix’s Lost in Space revival was recently renewed for a second season, though there’s no word yet on an official release date. Read our write-up on the series’ two perfect Parkers here, and check out the cover art of the first book in the Lost in Space: Countdown to Danger series below.
