Bow before the Altar of Murdock!
At least, that’s what Netflix and Marvel’s new trailer for Daredevil Season 2 appears to be saying. It’s set in some sort of dark church, with Michelangeline frescoes of the lawyer-by-day’s past spread across the walls and eerie choral melodies soaring over voiceover snippets of what we can only assume is the upcoming story. And if the ending is any indication, it’s going to feature lives and Hell’s Kitchen being shattered. Check the trailer for yourself below.
It’s fascinating, less reminiscent of a trailer than of Kanye West’s music video for “POWER.” We also get a release date of Mar. 18 announced at the end. Just over two months before we get to reacquaint ourselves with Matt Murdock and, for the first time in the MCU, meet The Punisher and Elektra.
