The First Trade Collection of Michael Moreci & Hayden Sherman’s Sci-Fi Series Hits Stores Today From Vault Comics
Main Art by Hayden ShermanFor those who haven’t yet taken the plunge into Michael Moreci and Hayden Sherman’s Vault Comics series Wasted Space, imagine Preacher among the stars, complete with jaded former prophets, ominous space gods and a randy blue-skinned pleasure bot (or two). Moreci’s Roche Limit series also questioned big themes in a sci-fi setting, but Wasted Space feels like a more personal, less restrained exercise for the author, and rising artist Sherman (who just had his Marvel debut in an Old Man Logan annual) has never looked better.
Relative newcomer publisher Vault Comics have thrown their full support behind the series, recently announcing that Wasted Space has been upgraded from a limited run to Vault’s first ongoing series, with a minimum commitment of 20 issues. Today, to commemorate the first trade paperback collection of Wasted Space hitting stands, Paste has a special treat: a download link to check out the full first issue of the series, totally free, via publisher Vault Comics. Why take our recommendation when you can verify Wasted Space’s appeal for yourself, at no cost? Once you’re done immersing yourself in Moreci and Sherman’s sci-fi world, be sure to check out the full first volume, and stay tuned to Paste for more news on the series’ return in the coming months.
