Later this month, Bill Murray will star as FDR in Hyde Park on the Hudson. The role might seem like an aberration for Murray, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the wide range of characters he’s portrayed since making his big screen debut as a lovable camp counselor in 1979’s Meatballs. We decided to take a closer look at the varying demeanors of Murray characters and how they’ve evolved throughout the course of his career, from his more comically inclined early-career characters to his more recent run of downtrodden depressives.
