Photo via Punching MuleThanks to Denver’s Mile High Spirits, canned Moscow Mules may be coming to a store near you this summer. The distillery plans to make its popular Punching Mule canned cocktail available outside the state of Colorado for the first time, beginning this June. This tasty bit of booze news comes just in time for those thirsty folks who want to indulge in the perfect summertime sipper.
Punching Mule, which clocks in at seven percent alcohol, will first make its way to Madison, WI, Austin, TX and Charleston, SC, in addition to Denver. The company has not yet determined which cities will see the canned cocktail’s second run. Co-founder Joe von Feldt plans to build his product’s buzz one town at a time, working towards nationwide distribution.
Mile High Spirits has been serving up Moscow Mules since they set up shop in 2012. The company’s carbonated take on the cocktail is made from a mix of Mile High Spirits’ vodka and ginger beer concentrate. According to reports, the distillery cans its concoction on-site at a rate of one Punching Mule per second, which means they can can all the cans a distillery can can.
