It’s almost 2017. Whether you’re celebrating 2016’s demise or all the awesome things 2017 has in store (or both), we’re sure those celebrations are sure to involve a drink (or 10). If you’re trying to decide what to sip on during your celebration, we’ve come up with a list of some great drinks to kick the night off with a little caffeine, as well as a few to enjoy while the party is going on.
Not only is January 1st New Year’s day, it’s also National Bloody Mary Day (go figure). So we’ve also got an awesome recipe for one of those for you to have on hand in the morning when the New Year officially kicks off along with your hangover.
Caffeine-Filled Drinks To Get The Party Started
The Cold Awakening
Red Star Tavern – Portland, Oregon
From lead bartender, Brandon Lockman
Ingredients
1 oz. High West Prairie Bourbon
2 oz. cold brew coffee
.75 oz. Imbue Petal & Thorn
.5 oz. salted maple syrup
Heavy cream
Directions: Stir first four ingredients with ice and strain into a footed rocks glass; top with heavy cream and garnish with coffee grounds.
