First-Ever U.S. Haribo Gummy Bear Plant Coming to Wisconsin

If, by “we’re not winning anymore,” President Trump meant, “America doesn’t have any Haribo gummy bear production centers,” then that seems to be changing! The German-owned confectionery company has cornered American markets on quality gummy bears for years, while having zero factories based in the U.S.A. Effective deals, however, have been made so that the company has announced plans to build a production center in Kenosha County, Wisconsin.

Haribo executives cite extensive American demand as motivation for the factory. “The decision to build a manufacturing facility in Wisconsin is of great importance for the HARIBO Group,” says Hans Guido Riegel, Managing Partner of the HARIBO Group. “HARIBO of America is the fastest growing sugar confectionery business in the USA, hence the strategic importance of our manufacturing facility to commence production in 2020.”

Stay tuned to Paste for forthcoming details about the factory, and use this nifty map to find the nearest Haribo seller to you.
