McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets Are Now Free of Artificial Preservatives

McDonald’s recently announced that its Chicken McNuggets, its most popular menu item, are now free of all artificial preservatives and antibiotics.

The change comes as part of the company’s attempt to realign their brand and meet customer demands regarding food quality. Last year, the chain even considered bringing in kale for shakes and salads.

The preservatives can no longer be found in the fast food chain’s pork-sausage patties used for its biscuits and McGriddles or in the eggs the store scrambles and uses in its breakfast sandwiches either.

Later, the company will introduce buns made without high fructose corn syrup.

According to CNBC, McDonald’s first quarter earnings were better than expected in April, attributing the financial turn around to the chain’s introduction of an all-day breakfast menu.
