Universal Studios Is Opening A Willy Wonka-Esque Chocolate Factory Restaurant
Photo courtesy of Universal StudiosDisney may be “the happiest place on earth,” but Universal Studios is solidifying itself as the place where all our big screen dreams come true. That includes its brand new Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory-esque restaurant, the Orlando-based branch of the theme park announced last week.
The eatery, known officially as Toothsome Chocolate Factory & Savory Feast Emporium, will not be specifically derived from either film property or its Roald Dahl source material. Instead, the full-service restaurant will simply resemble one of the world’s most iconic factories while obviously invoking Willy Wonka’s imagery.
The steampunk-infused dining experience will incorporate the famous factory’s tubes in its physical style. As for its menu, attendees can expect to feast their eyes (and mouths) on burgers, pastas, salads, crepes, and quiches, as well as “artisan” milkshakes and ice cream sundaes. Meanwhile, staff will be fully outfitted to match the overall theme.
And if you want to take some of the sugary sweet goodness home with you, you’ll be able to purchase samples of chocolate creations prepared on site through the retail shop.
Toothsome Chocolate Factory & Savory Feast Emporium will open near the Islands of Adventure theme park on the CityWalk.
