Koji Igarashi’s newest action platformer is on the horizon. Ahead of E3, he and 505 Games have dropped a brand-new trailer featuring a beautiful gothic world and plenty of gore to go along with it.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night follows the story of Miriam, an orphan who was cursed by a twisted alchemist. Her skin is slowly turning to crystal, and as this curse develops, she falls into a deep coma. Ten years later, Miriam awakens in a castle, and Hell has resurrected. Her journey begins here, where she must hunt down the castle’s summoner, Gebel, and his demons to put an end to her crystalline curse.
The new trailer features a brand-new map, as well as some of Miriam’s stylish new moves. This spiritual successor to Igarashi’s Castlevania fashions Miriam with new skills, and weapons like the whip, rapier and katana in a bloody battle with a fresh face—the boss Bloodless. She certainly doesn’t fit her namesake.
