Peter Serafinowicz Cast As The Tick in Amazon Pilot

After news broke that Amazon had plans to revive the superhero cult comedy The Tick without original star Patrick Warburton, fans began to wonder who would be replacing the show’s beloved lead.

We now know. British actor and comedy star Peter Serafinowicz will done the suit and play the dim-witted and nigh-invulnerable The Tick, Deadline reports.

The actor and comedian is familiar with comic book adaptations, having been involved in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy and even 1999’s Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. His past TV work includes roles on Look Around You, Hardware and Spaced.

Creator Ben Edlund will executive produce the pilot, along with Barry Josephson. Wally Pfister (The Dark Knight trilogy) is in talks to direct.
