Gary Neville Breaks Down Ryan Giggs’ Most Famous Goal

Ryan Giggs was honored with the Legend of Football Award at the HMV Football Extravaganza on Tuesday night. The event, which raises money for the musical therapy charity Nordoff Robbins, saw a number of famous faces from the soccer community in attendance. One such individual was former Manchester United teammate Gary Neville, who took the time to use his Match of the Day skills to analyze one Giggs’ most iconic moments.

The audio can be a bit difficult to make out, but if you listen closely you’ll hear Neville, tongue planted firmly in cheek, excoriate the now retired winger for failing to pass the ball on three separate occasions. On one such diatribe, the pundit attributes that supposed error to the likely scenario that Giggs’ chest hair had already begun to peek out, thus blocking his vision.
