Michael Rooker Joins the Film Adaptation of A Good Man is Hard to Find
Photo by Bernd RantscheffMichael Rooker and John McNaughton are joining forces again to develop the Flannery O’Connor masterpiece A Good Man is Hard to Find. This is the first time they’ve worked together since Rooker’s feature film debut in Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer.
A Good Man is Hard to Find is based on O’Connor’s shocking short story of a serial killer murdering an entire family, which was most notable for the characters of The Misfit and The Grandmother. Rooker, of course, will be playing The Misfit, which is honestly a perfect role for him. It’ll also give him some creative freedom aside from his Marvel role in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. The film is being developed by Atlanta-based producer Ed Richardson and written by Benedict Fitzgerald (The Passion of the Christ).
A Good Man is Hard to Find is still in pre-production, but should begin filming in Georgia, where O’Connor lived, soon.
