An Adam Sandler/Netflix Halloween Comedy Is Coming, People

The beast hath returned: Fresh off his most recent Netflix behemoth acquiring 30.9 million viewers in its first three days, Adam Sandler has announced the details of his next comedy for the streaming platform, per Deadline.

Described as an “untitled Halloween comedy” (get hyped!), Sandler’s newest project follows a resident of Salem, Massachusetts, whose undying love for his hometown and “legendary Halloween celebration” makes him a figure of mockery in the community. Jokes on them, though: Looks like something goes awry and it’s up to the man himself to save Halloween.

Directed by Steve Brill, and penned by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, the film is set to star Kevin James, Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, Michael Chiklis, Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, and, to no one’s surprise, a lengthy roster of other Sandlerian players: Ray Liotta, Tim Meadows, Noah Schnapp, SNL’s Kenan Thompson, Mikey Day and Melissa Villasenor, China Anne McClaine, George Wallace and Shaq. Yes, Shaq!

Further details have yet to be announced, but stay tuned for any updates on the Happy Madison Productions/Netflix project.
