Watch Andre 3000 as Jimi Hendrix in New All Is By My Side Clip

Last year, we announced that Andre 3000 would star as legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix in the biopic All is by My Side. The biopic covers about a year in Hendrix’s life, which picks up as he starts to gain steam and recognition in New York. The film will also feature scenes where Hendrix covers songs originally written by the Beatles, Muddy Waters and Elvis Presley. In the scene that was released yesterday, we see Hendrix talking to Linda Keith (played by Imogen Poots), who was a big player in the guitarist’s early success.

All Is By My Side will screen at SXSW on Wed, Mar 12 at 9 p.m.
