Noomi Rapace Stalks a Family in the Trailer for Lionsgate’s Angel of Mine

Starring as a grieving mother turned stalker, Noomi Rapace leads the cast in the trailer for Lionsgate’s forthcoming film Angel Of Mine.

Rapace portrays Lizzie, a grieving mother who lost her infant daughter in a hospital fire. Off her meds and about to lose her son in a custody battle, Lizzie sees a little girl who looks similar to her daughter and goes off the rails when she becomes certain the girl is her child. The trailer is tense and sees Rapace stalk the innocent family as she inches closer to doing heaven knows what with their daughter. Viewers learn Rapace’s character was “committed for almost a year” and is practically on the verge of snapping.

Alongside Rapace, The Handmaid’s Tale star Yvonne Strahovski stars as the little girl’s mother who faces off with Rapace’s character. Luke Evans, Richard Roxburgh, Annika Whiteley and Finn Little also star in the film, per Deadline.

Out in select theaters and on demand Aug. 30, the R-rated film is directed by Kim Farrant (Strangerland) and is based on the 2008 French film L’Empreinte De L’Ange. The film’s script was written by Luke Davies (Beautiful Boy, Lion) and David Regal. Josh Etting, Brian Etting and Su Armstrong (Leap Year) produce.
