Watch the Gorgeous New Trailer for Beauty and the Beast
Image via Disney/YouTubeThe Beast is back in the castle. The newest trailer for Disney’s live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast is here, and it’s much heavier on plot than the first teaser was.
In the trailer, we see much more of Emma Watson’s Belle, who enters the castle to save her father before being made a prisoner by the Beast (Dan Stevens). The trailer also gives us looks at Kevin Kline as Belle’s father, Luke Evans as Gaston, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts and Ian McKellan as Cogsworth.
Alan Menken, the legendary composer behind the animated Beauty and the Beast, has written three new ballads for the live-action film. The film will also feature unused lyrics penned by the late Howard Ashman, who wrote lyrics for the 1991 film.
Beauty and the Beast has a high bar to clear, considering the power the animated film still holds in the minds of many. Directed by Bill Condon, the remake is set to hit theaters on March 17. Until then, check out the fairly gorgeous trailer above, and the first teaser here.
