Watch the Epic Chariot Race from the New Ben-Hur

The age-old brother vs. brother rivalry is remarkably not worse for wear. And, apparently, neither is the story of Ben-Hur.
Paramount has released a new trailer for its remake (the fourth to date) of the 1880 novel of the same name, in which an epic life-or-death chariot race takes place. As Morgan Freeman advised in the film’s first trailer (included below), “Be first to finish and last to die.”
Ben-Hur chronicles the titular character, played by Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire’s Richard Harrow), a Jewish prince forced into slavery after his adoptive brother Messala, played by Toby Kebbell (Black Mirror), accuses him of an assassination attempt. After returning to his homeland, Ben-Hur is trained by Sheik Ilderim (Freeman) and seeks revenge against Messala in a larger-than-life chariot race.
The film races to theaters on Aug. 19. Watch the new trailer above, and check out the first one below.
