The Call Me By Your Name Soundtrack Is Coming out on Peach-Scented Vinyl
How peachy
Image via Sony Pictures ClassicsCall Me By Your Name is one cinematic experience that just refuses to leave the public conscious, and that is a very good thing. Its soundtrack has been justly praised since the film’s initial festival run and now, thanks to Music on Vinyl, it will be getting an official vinyl pressing.
There will be only 7,777 pressings made, and the vinyl pressings themselves will be both peach-colored and peach-scented in homage to the movie and book’s famous peach scene. Two of Sufjan Stevens’ original songs, written for the film, are featured on the tracklist: “Mystery of Love” and “Visions of Gideon.” “Mystery of Love” was nominated for an Oscar for best original song and including that nomination, Call Me By Your Name went on to earn four Oscar nods, winning one for James Ivory’s screenplay. In addition to Stevens, The Psychedelic Furs, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Giorgio Moroder and other artists are featured on the soundtrack.
The vinyl’s release is set for Aug. 3—peach harvest season. For more information on the Limited Peach Season Edition itself, head on over to Music on Vinyl.
Until then, enjoy Armie Hammer dancing to The Psychedelic Furs.
