Galaxies near and far suffered a monumental loss a year ago today when Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher passed away. Since then, many Star Wars comrades have paid tribute to the honorable princess, and Lucasfilm even dedicated The Last Jedi to her memory.
Today, the tributes continue to pour out, including a particularly heartfelt one from Fisher’s onscreen sibling Mark Hamill. He posted a trio of images on social media: a photo of them circa the early Star Wars days, one from the most recent installment of the sci-fi franchise and a drawing of the actress as a goddess holding her beloved dog Gary in one hand and giving the finger with the other.
Hamill captioned the post with, “No one’s every really gone … ” a line that Luke Skywalker said to Leia Organa in The Last Jedi, made extra poignant given the actress’ death. He also used the hashtags “AlwaysWithUs” and “CarrieOnForever.”
