Casablanca, The Godfather, The Graduate and Other Classics to Return to the Big Screen in 2017

Movies News classic movies

Some of the best films ever made are returning to theaters in 2017. Thanks to TCM and Fathom Events, E.T, Casablanca and many other classic films will return to the screen for the 2017 edition of the TCM Big Screen Classics series.

The series will bring one or more classic films to theaters nationwide each month beginning in January, and each film will feature a specially produced commentary from TCM hosts Ben Mankiewicz and Tiffany Vasquez. Each film will screen only four times, on select Wednesdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

“These 14 titles were released over five decades and include Best Picture winners, epic cinematography, most acclaimed directors, legendary star power, and memorable soundtracks, that have captured film-lovers’ hearts and defined movie-making magic,” said Fathom’s vice president of studio relations Tom Lucas in a statement.

Tickets can be purchased for the screenings on Fathom’s website here. Check out the full list of titles, which also include North by Northwest and Singin’ in the Rain, below.
