The X-Force has long been a rumored storyline for the X-Men universe, and Bryan Singer has even gone so far as to reveal that Simon Kinberg has an early draft of a script. Ryan Reynolds and Kinberg have both spoken out about the need for any X-Force movie to be R-rated, and with Cable arriving in Deadpool 2, the X-Force seems like a logical progression.
An X-Force movie has been in production before, but was eventually canceled in favor of X-Men: Apocalypse. Even after that movie was squashed, reports still suggested that Fox was looking at an X-Force movie featuring Deadpool, Cable, Psylocke, Archangel and Colossus. The only two not featured in Deadpool or Deadpool 2 will be Archangel and Psylocke, but Olivia Munn has already expressed interest in an X-Force film. “It would definitely be cool to see Deadpool and some of the other X-Men characters gather for an X-Force movie,” the actress said.
That’s something all of us can agree on.
