The Fast and Furious Franchise Has Release Dates for Two More Installments

It’s officially official. The Fast and Furious franchise is a literal never-ending story.

Yesterday, it was revealed that the popular action series would be receiving two more installments. Franchise star Vin Diesel, who is currently working on xXx: The Return of Xander Cage teased the details over social media, eventually confirming the official release dates for the ninth and tenth Fast films.

According to Diesel’s instagram post, the ninth film will be out in theaters April 19, 2019 while the tenth installment has a scheduled release date of April 2, 2021. Storylines and locations have yet to be confirmed. Fast 8 which will hit theaters on April 17, 2017, sees the crew mainly in New York with some scenes based in Cuba. Straight Outta Compton’s F. Gary Gray will direct. The movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters on April 17, 2017.

Fast and Furious has now spanned the entirety of two decades, following a startlingly consistent core cast of characters as they weave in and out of the illegal street racing community.
