The 75th Golden Globe Awards aired on Sunday night, with Big Little Lies and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri each winning four, marking the most for any of the nominated titles.
Three Billboards dominated the film categories, earning Globes for Sam Rockwell for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture, Francis McDormand for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama, Martin McDonagh for Best Screenplay and Best Motion Picture Drama for the film itself, beating out predicted winner The Shape of Water. However, Guillermo del Toro did win his first Globe for directing The Shape of Water. On the comedy side of things, Lady Bird won Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and the film’s star Saoirse Ronan picked up her first win for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. James Franco won Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for his portrayal of Tommy Wiseau in the film The Disaster Artist while Gary Oldman won Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for playing Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour.

Brown won Best Actor in a Drama Series for This is Us, while Big Little Lies ruled the TV Movie and Miniseries categories. Nicole Kidman won her fourth Golden Globe for her role as Celeste Wright in Big Little Lies, as well. The HBO limited series also won the top prize for Best Miniseries or TV Movie.
