There’s plenty leaving HBO Now this month, but don’t worry: you get The Young Pope instead. That show is just one of several new original offerings coming to the streaming platform this month. It’ll be joined by Beware the Slenderman, a documentary that tells the true story of two girls who lured their best friend into the woods to stab her repeatedly, before claiming that they did it to appease a tall and faceless urban legend called the Slenderman. Becoming Warren Buffet, another documentary, tells the story of Warren Buffet’s rise to prominence. Real Time With Bill Maher will also make its 2017 premiere in January.
On the theatrical side, The Boss, Demolition and Dallas Buyers Club are headed to the streaming service in January, as is The Visit, alongside several other M. Night Shyalaman titles ahead of the debut of his new film Split. The Big Lebowski, Risky Business and My Cousin Vinny are also joining HBO Now.
Sadly, some notable titles are leaving the site next month, including Dead Poet’s Society, The Martian and all five Dirty Harry films.
