It seems like only yesterday we were eagerly anticipating the premiere of HBO’s Westworld, but now with that show on to episode four, we have to start looking to the future. To that end, here are all the TV shows and movies coming and going on HBO Now.
First off, let’s just get the bad news out of the way first: serving as an oasis of reason, logic, and fact-checking in the scorching hellfire desert that is the 2016 presidential election, John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight is getting a much-deserved break in November, wrapping up its third season on the 14th. Also wrapping up this month is Issa Rae’s fantastic Insecure, which will air its season finale on Nov. 27.
Probably the most noteworthy movie premiering on HBO Now in November is Batman v Superman but, hey, instead of watching that dull, grey sludge, maybe consider watching the delightful Eddie the Eagle, the heartwarming story of a British ski jumper starring Taron Egerton and Hugh Jackman, which is also premiering on HBO Now this month.
Other movies coming our way include All the President’s Men (a movie about journalists bringing down a Republican by revealing his scandals feels prescient right about now), and Minority Report, one of the best sci-fi and Tom Cruise running movies ever. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of good stuff leaving by the end of the month, as well, including A Beautiful Mind, Face/Off, The 25th Hour, The Wrestler and Trainwreck, so this is your warning: you only have a month to watch Face/Off as much as you can.
