Summer is sadly soon coming to an end, but don’t fear. HBO Now has new original programming and acclaimed films arriving in September to help with easing into fall.
New original programming highlights include all 19 original High Maintenance webisodes, which first streamed via Vimeo, ahead of the show’s first season on HBO, debuting later in the month, as well as Vice News Tonight, the new half-hour nightly news broadcast from VICE Media and HBO, which airs Sept. 26 with new episodes streaming every weeknight. Also on its way is the premiere of Habla y Vota, a new HBO Latino special in which the importance of voting as people of color in the 2016 election is discussed. Other standouts include the highly anticipated season finales of Ballers, Vice Principals and Sr. Avila.
HBO’s September theatrical highlights include a couple of 2016 awards-season champs: The Revenant, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio in his first Oscar-winning role, and Steve Jobs, which won a Golden Globe for Best Screenplay – Motion Picture. Other noteworthy features coming to the platform include comedy BFFs Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in Sisters, Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer in The Forest, and everyone’s favorite rodents in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip.
