Variety is reporting the shortlist for actors being considered for a young Han Solo for Disney and Lucasfilm’s upcoming Star Wars spinoff. For the untitled film they have seen a number of actors ranging from the ages of 17 to 34.
Producers have narrowed it to about a dozen gents and will begin testing them and are expected to have made a decision in the next couple of weeks.
The shortlist includes the likes of Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Dave Franco, Jack Reynor, Scott Eastwood, Logan Lerman, Emory Cohen and Blake Jenner.
The film begins shooting next January and won’t be out until May 25, 2018, but there’s an assumption that the new young Han will make an appearance in Rogue One: A Star Wars, which is set between Episode III and IV and is still shooting.
No news yet on whether Jim Carrey is going out for young Chewbacca.
