Yoko Ono is Producing a John and Yoko Biopic

Please be good: Living legend Yoko Ono is working on a film about the relationship between her and her husband John Lennon in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s when The Beatles were crumbling and war was most certainly not over.

Produced in tandem with Michael DeLuca (Captain Phillips, Moneyball,The Social Network), the film features a script from Anthony McCarten (The Theory of Everything) and looks at the “relevant themes of love, courage and activism in the U.S.—with the intention of inspiring today’s youth to stand up for and have a clear vision for the world they want,” according to a statement from DeLuca. … Please be good.

Lennon’s early life was previously chronicled in the under-appreciated Nowhere Boy, but this is the first time a biopic has been made about his relationship with Ono and the later days of The Beatles.

Please be good.
