Emma Watson Shares First Official Cast Photo from Greta Gerwig’s Little Women

Emma Watson has shared the first official cast photo from the set of Greta Gerwig’s Little Women, as reposted on a newly created Instagram account for the highly anticipated film.

The new photo features writer-director Gerwig, making the follow-up to her celebrated directorial debut Lady Bird with the forthcoming Louisa May Alcott adaptation, and confirms the casting on several key roles in the film: Meg (Watson), Jo (Saoirse Ronan), Amy (Florence Pugh) and Beth (Eliza Scanlen) are the four March sisters, joined by Theodore “Laurie” Laurence (Timothée Chalamet), Jo’s love interest and Amy’s eventual husband.

Watson replaced the previously announced Emma Stone as eldest sister Meg in Gerwig’s Little Women adaptation, which will also star Meryl Streep and Bob Odenkirk.

Sony Pictures will release Little Women on Dec. 25, 2019. Find out everything we know about Greta Gerwig’s Little Women adaptation so far right here.
