Gaze at Kenneth Branagh’s Glorious Mustache in the Suspenseful New Murder on the Orient Express Trailer

Hercule Poirot is one of the most famous creations of crime writer Agatha Christie, and director-actor Sir Kenneth Branagh is attempting to step into the detective’s shoes. In Branagh’s adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express, there has been a murder most foul, and Branagh’s Poirot suspects everyone on the titular train.

The film boasts an absolutely stacked ensemble cast—one can fill up a train car with the Oscar and Tony trophies they’ve amassed. The trailer pays special attention to a scummy gangster portrayed by serial money spender Johnny Depp. Characters played by Michelle Pfeiffer and rising star Daisy Ridley express paranoia, rightfully so. The rest of the cast consists of names like Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Dame Judi Dench, Josh Gad, Sir Derek Jacobi, Hamilton’s Leslie Odom Jr. and Olivia Colman.

But really, the biggest star of the film is clearly Kenneth Branagh’s prominent and wonderfully groomed mustache. Whether Branagh can top David Suchet’s legendary performance as Poirot, he is at least giving Suchet a run for his money in the facial hair department. Branagh is most famous for his Shakespeare work, with film adaptations of Henry V and Hamlet being his most noteworthy movies. More recently, Branagh has made a few bigger blockbusters, including Marvel’s Thor, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit and Disney’s live-action Cinderella.

Branagh’s ‘stache will cover the big screens when Murder on the Orient Express comes to theaters on Nov. 10. Check out the trailer (with far less Imagine Dragons than the first) embedded above.
