The list of titles Netflix will begin streaming in July includes a few of our very favorites from a variety of decades. First, check out City of God, the 2002 film which will give you a very different side of Brazil than you’ve been watching at the World Cup. Then go back through time with Dead Man Walking (1994), Boyz N the Hood (1992), Gandhi (1982), Patton (1970), all the way to 1957’s 12 Angry Men and Funny Face.
If you’re in the mood for something more current, 2012’s The Master, starring the late Philip Seymour Hoffman alongside Joaquin Phoenix, is available beginning July 14, and the brand new documentary The Battered Bastards of Baseball premieres exclusively on Netflix July 11 after impressing at Sundance.
TV shows coming to Netflix instant include return of the company’s own show, Hemlock Grove, plus the second season of Comedy Bang! Bang! and the third season of cult sci-fi show Continuum. Check out the full list below.
