New on Amazon and Prime Video: All the Movies and TV Coming in August

August will bring a number of highly anticipated movies and TV shows to Amazon’s Prime Video, which Prime subscribers will be able to stream or download at no additional cost to their membership. Amazon Originals premiering exclusively on Prime this month include the live-action series The Kicks, an inspiring story about a twelve-year-old soccer player, and original film Elvis & Nixon, which brings the true story of the meeting between the legendary performer and the president of the United States to life.
The Showtime comedy series House of Lies will also be made available for free Prime streaming next month. In terms of movies, The Matrix and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchises will both be streamable in full in August, joined by classic movies like A Clockwork Orange and You’ve Got Mail, and newer titles like Inside Llewyn Davis.
Amazon Video will also unveil a number of new titles available for purchase next month, including Weiner, a biopic of the controversial New York politician Anthony Weiner, The Huntsman: Winter’s War, starring Chris Hemsworth, Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron, and kid-friendly The Jungle Book. As for TV, Amazon Video will be seeing the most recent seasons of shows like Game of Thrones, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and Catfish: The TV Show become available.
