You Can Watch Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood at the Theater Seen in the Film

It’s time to get meta. Audiences can go and watch Quentin Tarantino’s latest film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood at the Los Angeles movie theater featured in the film, as Screen Crush points out.

In the film, Margot Robbie’s Sharon Tate can be seen headed to the Bruin Theatre in L.A.’s Westwood Village to go and watch the film The Wrecking Crew, in which she starred alongside Dean Martin. As Tate sits in the dark theater, she beams with glee as she watches herself interact with Martin onscreen and hears the audience’s delighted reactions to her performance. It’s a blissful scene, and you can pseudo-reenact it if you catch Once Upon a Time in Hollywood at the Bruin.

The Bruin Theatre is a relic of Westwood Village that opened in 1937. The theater is located around the corner from the Fox Theatre, which is another historical theater in L.A. that still shows films. Tate can be seen walking from the Fox to the Bruin in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Quite a few moviegoers have been walking into their local theaters to catch Tarantino’s latest: After its July 26 premiere, the film scored the director’s biggest-ever box office opening with north of $40 million.

If you want to geek out and get in on a screening at the Bruin, maybe you can even do some detective work and figure out which seat Robbie’s Tate sat in. Even if you can’t pinpoint her seat, it’s a meta bit of fun from one of Tarantino’s most fun films.
