What Would Spectre Look Like With Pierce Brosnan as Bond?
Photo by Keith Hamshere, Getty ImagesIt’s one of the most hotly debated questions in film history: who played the best James Bond?
Daniel Craig has held the title since 2005, starring in some of the series’ highest-grossing and most critically acclaimed entries: Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall. As the current 007 gets ready for his fourth go-round in Spectre, one fan decided to look to the past to reimagine the new movie’s trailer.
A film reviewer named The Unusual Suspect made a supercut of the Spectre trailer starring former 007 Pierce Brosnan. The 62-year-old Irish actor’s tenure as Bond was about the same length as Craig’s, during which he starred in GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day.
Although most Bond fans have openly embraced Craig, it’s fun to see how the trailer plays out with Brosnan instead. Whereas Craig’s performances pack an extra punch, Brosnan brought a healthy dose of charm and humor to the role. And despite being 15 years Craig’s senior, he’s still got it.
This is almost as good as 50 Shades of Buscemi.
