The Marie Curie biopic from Amazon and Studiocanal just added a slew of young talent. The Witch’s Anya Taylor-Joy, On the Road’s Sam Riley and Aneurin Barnard of Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-nominated Dunkirk have joined the film’s cast, according to THR. There’s no news on the exact characters the actors will be playing, but filming is currently underway in Budapest. Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike is playing Curie in the forthcoming biopic that will follow her romance with Pierre Curie, their prolific discoveries in physics and chemistry, and her life after Pierre’s untimely death.
Taylor-Joy recently starred in M. Night Shyamalan’s thriller Split with James McAvoy and can be seen in last year’s Sundance hit Thoroughbreds, out March 9. Taylor-Joy gained international acclaim with her brilliant performance in Robert Eggers’s The Witch and will join Eggers on his forthcoming Nosferatu adaptation.
