2017 Razzie Award Nominees Announced: Zoolander 2, Batman v Superman, More

The Golden Raspberry Awards, otherwise known as simply “The Razzies,” celebrate the absolute worst in cinema. This year, the 37th Annual Razzie nominees include Zoolander 2 with nine nominations, Batman v Superman with eight, and Dirty Grandpa with six.

Categories include “Worst Actor,” “Worst Actress,” “Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel” and “Worst Screenplay.” Usually, there are only five contenders in each category, but this year they decided to expand. Organizers said in a press release, “The crop of cinematic crap in 2016 was so extensive that this year’s 37th annual Razzie Awards is expanding the number of nominees from the usual five to an unprecedented six contenders in each of its nine worst achievement in film categories.”

Other films to make it big at The Razzies include Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party and Independence Day: Resurgence, which both come in at five nominations. Our personal favorite nomination is “The Entire Cast of Once Respectable Actors” from the film Collateral Beauty for “Worst Screen Combo.” “Winners” will be announced Feb. 25.
