Ryan Reynolds Will Star In A Mars Movie Called Life

He’s still shattering records and thrilling silver screen audiences in Deadpool, but Ryan Reynolds’ next big project has been announced. Per Deadline, the hunky actor has signed on to star in Life, an oddly named thriller about astronauts who find intelligent life on Mars.

The new film will reunite him with Deadpool’s writers, Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. Daniel Espinosa is slated to direct, with Rebecca Ferguson co-starring. It’ll be interesting to see how this new film depicts the Red Planet in comparison to the way it was showcased in The Martian—and will the film give Reynolds free reign to be as funny as Matt Damon was? After the success of Deadpool, anything is possible.
