New on Starz: All the Movies and TV Coming in September

The end of the summer means the last of the long days spent outside, basking in the sun and soaking up the good weather. There’s little (if anything) redeemable about that, but at least you don’t have to feel as guilty about staying indoors with WiFi to stream your favorite Starz movies and shows. Here’s a list of the film and TV coming to Starz this September, as well as everything that will be taken off the app this month.
Spike fans (or people who saw BlacKkKlansman once) will be excited to hear that some of the auteur’s best films will be made available for screening, including Clockers (1995) and Do the Right Thing (1989). There are plenty of offerings for the hopeless romantic, too, such as 27 Dresses (2008) and Easy A (2010). Starz will also premiere its acquisition of the documentary feature Land Of The Free (2017) and the Oscar-winning film A Fantastic Woman.
In terms of TV, STARZ will premiere their new original series Warriors of Liberty City on Sunday, Sept. 16. Produced by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, the docuseries gives viewers a look inside the world of Liberty City, Miami, which has produced the highest amount of NFL players in any region of the country with 25, but still faces uncommonly high levels of poverty and violence. Liberty City Warriors is a youth football program that teaches not only the game, but also discipline and teamwork.
Don’t miss the all-time classics like Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner (1967) and Footloose (1984), which will be leaving the Starz app this month. Also, be sure to catch two of Alfred Hitchcock’s best thrillers—Psycho (1960) and Vertigo (1958)—before they’re gone.
