IT‘s Coming: A Single Red Balloon Has Appeared in Stephen King’s Window
Photo by Brooke Palmer/Warner Bros.IT hits theaters in just over a week, and everyone from clowns in Austin, Texas to the master of horror himself, Mr. Stephen King, is getting into the spirit.
As pointed out by numerous news outlets, a single red balloon has appeared in the front window of King’s Bangor, Maine, home. This balloon is, of course, the calling card of Pennywise the clown, a demonic being that terrorizes the fictional town of Derry, Maine, in King’s original 1986 novel. Bill Skarsgård portrays Pennywise in Andrés Muschietti’s film, which appears poised to become one of the best adaptations of King’s work ever made.
King, an avid Twitter user, has yet to comment publicly on the balloon’s appearance. He has, however, banned Donald Trump from seeing IT in retaliation for the president blocking him on Twitter back in June. The rest of us absolutely can’t wait for this movie, and it’s nice to see King is as excited about it as we are.
Donald Trump blocked me on Twitter. I am hereby blocking him from seeing IT or MR. MERCEDES. No clowns for you, Donald. Go float yourself.
