Dope‘s Kiersey Clemons to Play Iris West in Forthcoming The Flash Film

Not much has been revealed about the forthcoming silver-screen appearance of The Flash, though we now can confirm one particularly important lead role is in good hands.

Variety reports actress Kiersey Clemons, who starred in Dope and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, will play the scarlet speedster’s love interest and friend Iris West.

The actress cryptically confirmed the news in an emoji-filled Tweet last night.

Clemons will star opposite The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Trainwreck‘s Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash. The film, currently slated for a 2018 release, will be directed by Rick Famuyiwa, who directed Clemons previously in Dope.
