Variety reports actress Kiersey Clemons, who starred in Dope and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, will play the scarlet speedster’s love interest and friend Iris West.
The actress cryptically confirmed the news in an emoji-filled Tweet last night.

Clemons will star opposite The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Trainwreck‘s Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash. The film, currently slated for a 2018 release, will be directed by Rick Famuyiwa, who directed Clemons previously in Dope.
Famuyiwa may or may not have confirmed Clemons’ casting himself, also on Twitter:
Not confirming anything, but I’m excited about working again with the amazing @KierseyClemons . My “female lead” …. “Shmiris Guest” ??????
